The massive St. Catherine Laboure Church construction begun on January 12, 2013.
Operating within the six-storey structure are a mini-auditorium and cafeteria on the first level; the rector’s office, administration office, meeting room and counselling room on the second level; a multipurpose hall on the third level; a chapel, catechetical centre and KDM language class on the fourth floor; the church proper and church platform on the fifth level; and the sixth level will be the mezzanine floor.
Other special features of the church are:
- A church tunnel which is under the main entrance of the church with measurement of 70′ long x 60′ wide x 40′ high is converted to a two-level structure building.
- On Level 1: A grotto with a 10′ marble statue of Mother Mary imported from Vietnam (donated by the late Veronica Jinilis Jounin) located at the lower chapel of the church with seating capacity of 100 people.
- On Level 1A: A memorial hall for remembering our dearly departed loved ones 5000 plaques (Memorial tablet) are for sale now.
- On Level II: Historical display of the early Catholic Missionary in North Borneo.
- On Lower Level: Fellowship Garden or Open Air Theatre with seating capacity of 250.
- Parking Space: 300 car parks.
